Manhunt Launched For Man Who Gunned Down DC Teen At McDonald's Minutes Away From Mass Shooting

A teenager was killed after being gunned down inside a Washington, DC McDonald’s restaurant on Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, investigators say that 19-year-old Northeast DC resident Andre Wallace, Jr. was inside the restaurant when an unknown assailant shot him.

Wallace was pronounced dead at the restaurant and his body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause and manner of his death.

The latest shooting came a day after there was a mass shooting further down Benning Road that left one dead and three hospitalized outside a DC funeral home.

No motive or suspect has been identified by police, who issued a BOLO for a man in a white shirt and blue jeans, possibly with a black sweatshirt wrapped around his waist and braids in his hair.

The fatal shooting remains under investigation.

A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered by the Metropolitan Police Department for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the gunman. Tipsters have bene asked to contact investigators by calling (202) 727-9099 or texting 50411.
